Don't use ChatGPT for language learning -- or war fighting.
ChatGPT is demonstrably unrealiable for East Asian languages and Duo Lingo sucks.

Remember how I predicted last week Israel would attack Hezbollah within 2-4 weeks? Make it more like 0 to 2 weeks. (I am certain Israel will attack, but uncertain when).
As predicted but caveat NO FALSE HOPE. China will try, but likely be unable to persuade either Russia or Ukraine to "compromise". And it some point China will decide it really is time to 解放西伯利亚!

CHINA
"100 years since death of Lenin marked by silence from China’s Communist Party. Why?"
https://www.scmp.com/news/china/politics/article/3249222/100-years-death-lenin-marked-silence-chinas-communist-party-why
Lenin's theory of a conspiratorial elite vanguard party exercising an all-around dictatorship of the proletariat on behalf of the workers and farmers 100 years since death of Lenin marked by silence from China’s Communist Party. Why? using chekist methods such as lying, cheating, stealing, and murder, is an effective way to seize state power - but is a terrible, horrible, bad way to govern (blood purges, and red terror sucked), which is why the CCP quietly rejected Leninism after the Sino-Soviet split.
I fully intend to use Leninist methods against Putin in the "Russian" Federation to split the "Russian" federation into its constituent republics, many of which will fall under Chinese influence because of cultural and trade ties after they gain independence.
Putin set events into motion many of which I cannot stop, but all of which end with his defeat in his crazy stupid imperialist war against Ukrainians of all social classes. No one made him invade Ukraine. No one forced his armies to commit war crimes. He really has no way forward.
Example, concerning China. Russians can no longer buy Chinese cars. So ... make the trade deal depend on how many cars Russia buys!
I don't want to inflict suffering but this is how defensive war is. I specifically want the Chinese economy to remain prosperous. Why? Because when was the last crazy stupid Chinese invasion of anywhere? Crickets! 虽然蟋蟀很好,英语说法 crickets 表达 乌鸦,没人, silence!
China is not the bad guy.
It is similar to the fact that Mao Zedong was a brilliant general and great leader but had no idea how to run an economy. Most people like things and want to have nice things. 大部分的人希望幸福,快乐,好东西。

AI, WAR & LANGUAGE (BREVIS)
Eric Schmidt, https://www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/ukraine-losing-drone-war
1. This article is propaganda. You might like or dislike that but you ought read it critically if at all.
2. People who imagine robots lasers and other similar magical instant easy solutions to the war in Ukraine are wrong, dead wrong.
3. For a great example of the serious limits on AI as a war making instrument you can read the following part about using AI as a language learning tool for East Asian languages. Only, instead of the serious flaws shown, imagine each of those mistakes as
a. A robot missed the target.
b. A robot hit a friendly target.
Mistakes on the battlefield are deadly. While its possible to imagine AI doing things like demining or as a backup system for when communication is lost from human guidance we are still very far from swarms of drones whether on air land or sea autonomously engaging enemy targets. Just look into all the tesla self driving car accidents only add bullets and flames.
4. This year Ukraine will wrest air parity and then local air superiority and then finally air supremacy over all its airspace. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military will defend and train up. Oh, and meanwhile the SBU and other assholes like me are gonna keep fucking up Russia's back yard. ygwyfd.
5. I did in fact study write and publish about AI. I don't claim to be expert at back propagation in neural networks but I understand fairly well the limits and possibilities of AI. Drawing pretty pictures is a very different problem from identifying and killing enemy targets.
I really don't care how rich someone is. Making money and war fighting have just about nothing in common. I don't entice and persuade my enemy to buy a product. I give them a choice, surrender or die, and build up and out from there. Business isn't war.
ChatGPT also makes a shitty cryptography engine. This was also disappointing.
Probably I should have done this with Baidu instead of google, and if I get masochistic enough to try again I would do it that way. Even a cursory review shows ChatGPT errs, frequently, as an East Asian languages tool.
EAST ASIAN LANGUAGES
Because Japanese and Chinese both use hanzi/kanji and there are many loan words unless summoned to teach in Vietnam or Korea I plan to start learning Japanese because my Chinese is fluent.
This is an example of a possibly useful chatgpt prompt I wrote. Although chatgpt is totally shit for case law research and complex language learning questions for Chinese do throw errors I suspect it is sufficiently reliable for this prompt to be actually useful. Here is what I asked:
many hiragana letters are also words. give a one word translation for the meaning of each letter of hiragana alphabet. if the hiragana letter is not also a word then "translate" it with an asterisk (*).
Here is chatgpts response. I then went through the results. They suck. Worse than google (which fyi is worse than baidu translate). Take home lesson: take GPT and google with a large grain of salt when working on East Asian languages!
あ (a) - "me" Wrong. It is an interjection “ah!”
い (i) - "well" wrong. This letter is not used as a word. This shows a couple real problems with GPT for learning languages 1. in logographic systems it will present transliterations of logograms (characters) as the character. 2. GPT when it does not KNOW something will tell you what it "THINKS" i.e. "BELIEVES" to be the case. This is a serious problem for GPT. Lots of people will use GPT and presume what it claims to be KNOWLEDGE as opposed to (wrong, inaccurate, or only partial) OPINION. Instead of defaulting to "GPT does not know!" it presents is best GUESS as the answer.
This letter is not a word, and the nor do any of the kanji transliterated with this letter appear to have the meaning chatgpt assigns to this letter.
う (u) - "ooze" [I suspect, if accurate, that this is in onomat or interjection. I am wary of this one since it is sound alike to English]
え (e) - "yes" [although Hei is Japanese for yes this is not hei and I am wary of this one too]
お (o) - "big"
か (ka) - "mosquito" ChatGPT got this one totally wrong, according to my actual Japanese dictionary. Ka is a question particle, may also be used to form modifiers similar to the English suffix -ial (partial, crucial e.g.) QUESTION PARTICLE
Ok it's unreliable. Use this guide as a starting point I will edit it as I dredge through the 50 letters to find the particles.
き (ki) - "tree" this is
く (ku) - "nine"
け (ke) - "hair"
こ (ko) - "lake"
さ (sa) - "left"
し (shi) - "death"
す (su) - "nest"

む (mu) - "dream"
め (me) - "eye"

Imperfect, for certain, but also certainly better than nothing.
I do think the correct way to learn East Asian languages is to start with Chinese because the Hanzi were adopted in Vietnam, Korea, and Japan.
Sure! Here are the one-word translations for the meanings of each hiragana letter:
あ (a) - "me" い (i) - "well" う (u) - "ooze" え (e) - "yes" お (o) - "big" か (ka) - "mosquito" き (ki) - "tree" く (ku) - "nine" け (ke) - "hair" こ (ko) - "lake" さ (sa) - "left" し (shi) - "death" す (su) - "nest" せ (se) - "back" そ (so) - "dwarf" た (ta) - "rice paddy" ち (chi) - "knowledge" つ (tsu) - "tsunami" て (te) - "hand" と (to) - "door" な (na) - "name" に (ni) - "two" ぬ (nu) - "nose" ね (ne) - "root" の (no) - "possess" は (ha) - "tooth" ひ (hi) - "fire" ふ (fu) - "brush" へ (he) - "yes" ほ (ho) - "sail" ま (ma) - "aunt" み (mi) - "beauty" む (mu) - "dream" め (me) - "eye" も (mo) - "leg" や (ya) - "arrow" ゆ (yu) - "hot water" よ (yo) - "world" ら (ra) - "the" り (ri) - "reason" る (ru) - "to relax" れ (re) - "delay" ろ (ro) - "six" わ (wa) - "circle" を (wo) - "tail" ん (n) - "sound"
Please note that some hiragana letters, especially the vowels (あ, い, う, え, お), may not have direct one-word translations as they are primarily used as phonetic sounds in the Japanese language.
RELIGION
I generally don't post falun daffy propaganda, because
1. they likely are a cult seeking donations
2. which is ultimately organized around fealty to the cult leader
3. and of course the typical "faith healing" give your money to the cult for health and salvation grift
4. even if any of that isn't true, and i think it all is, they are paradoxally anti-communists, specifically anti CCP and wish to oust the CCP.
The problem with that is: ousting the CCP would likely result in yet another Chinese civil war with yet more millions of dead Chinese people, not to mention lost production and thus poverty and "knock on" effects in countries which are enriched by Chinese manufactures (which is most of the world).
It is difficult for me to envision a superior i.e. better at governance party in power in China given the past 30 years of CCP history. Suppporting falun gong to oust those no good godless commies would have made sense in 1964 (pre Nixon and pre falun btw) or even as late as 1989. By the 1990s when falun arose and was popularized and then isolated by the CCP, well, that battle was fought and lost in the 1990s and I think the better side actually one especially because
as I said, paradoxally, the CCP since 1989 has reformed itself to the point that confucianism is now de facto part of CCP ideology, one of the "Chinese characteristics" in the famous "socialism with Chinese characteristics". This is not the same CCP as that which authored the film "Breaking with Old Ideas". They took Mao's aphorism "Make old things serve the new, make foreign things serve China" and ran with it.
So ... if falun were fighting for the right to be confucian in China, well, they basically won that struggle. Yet what they are really fighting for is 1. the ouster of the CCP and 2. the installation of their particular cult.
Which is why I don't join falun and even avoid reposting their works, many of which, like this one, are in fact good, or even excellent.
This is interesting because while it correctly rejects the dualism of mind-body and thus is materialist. At this point, ideologically, the falun gong CCP conflict is, theoretically, over. Positions falun gong claimed it wanted became accepted by the CCP. Positions it never overtly stated, namely the desire to seize state power in China, are the only reason their conflict continues.
I expect as the original cult leader of falun ages out and dies that falun gong will deradicalize and eventually be coopted by the CCP. I just don't see any charismatic leader with the intellectual power to effectively oppose the contemporary CCP. Falung gong are basically stuck in 1978. But the CIA might be able to Use them in some ways or others, and I do mean Use. Go for it! Duplciitous Suckers are asking for it! Clever by half.

Are Jews White?
Because the Jews are once again in a war for their survival it may be useful to understand: the Jews are a nation, and like any nation they have a language and religion. Any nation is made of tribes and clans (whether these are formally or informally recognized by state power). So, nope, not all Jews are white nor are all Jews practicing their national religion. The idea that Jews are a race or are not a nation or manipulate their nationality for material gain are mistaken views. Many, maybe most, but certainly not all, Jewish nationalists are Zionists. I am not Jewish, not at all, I am an ethnic German. However, a certain infamous Austrian had some peculiar views about the Jewish nation, which may recur and echo by Trumpists, contemporary ultras, or various Islamist groups. Hopefully an accurate understanding of the Jewish nation by non Jews will enable people to see the facts rather than be misguided by liars, with fewer dead people as a consequence.
Also, most Jews believe in Jesus, they just disagree with him and people who claim to be following some of his teaching.
btw. Are Moroccans white? Saudis? Genetic difference is real, however, it is also far deeper than mere skin color.
fyi some people don't believe in Jesus as in "just a myth" "never really existed".
