The Three Body Problem in Ukraine
China plans to try to help negotiate peace in June. I anticipate no success, unfortuntely. This is not because of bad faith or incompetence by China, the USA, or any NATO Member State. The USA is a-okay with China scoring diplomatic victories that resultin peace and production. But Russia and Ukraine alike are unwilling to compromise.The last time China tried to negotiate a peace, the Chinese themselves said something like (this is not an exact quote or literal translation) «both sides are not ready to negotiate». Putin should simply go into exile and then his successor can blame him and reach a cease fire, at least. Much as I wish that it were otherwise the war in Ukraine has no negotiated solution, just like the 物理学三体问题没有解决.
