U.S. Domestic Politics:
Trump really is Putin’s Puppet.
Trumps Finished: Here’s Why
Political Remedies, Legal Remedies, Law, and Justice
Let me tell you a political practice and legal reality, which partly explains why I don't practice law even though I have literally a half dozen law degrees (USA 1, France 2, Germany 3).
You don't challenge elections. That's coup d'etat territory. Both parties know it, which is why Trump has probably destroyed the Republican Party. The Republican party is now very likely to split into Libertarians, a rump GOP, and old, fat, powerless MAGA would-be insurgents who will quickly figure out that when you are a minority you better know exactly what you are doing when it comes to extra legal violence. Spoiler: MAGA knows fuck all about coups, rebellions, terrorism, sabotage and all those other things I know thoroughly but only do to make Mother proud.
You get voted/ruled out of political and legal eligibility de facto and/or de jure if you go too far. Questioning elections, calling the integrity of the bar into question, and trying to challenge the legislators’ taxation decisions as somehow legally invalid -- all of these are moves which you can't do, not if you want to respectively hold elected office, practice law, or be a tax consultant.
Law is the monopoly of legal violence.
Prediction! The assholes who swatted Rick Wilson are gonna do hard time, and when in jail will quickly discover not every violent person is a legal monopolist! Try not to get shanked, motherfuckers.
State power is the monopoly of legal violence, not cupcakes, rainbows, or unicorns.
January Six was the day the Trump family committed political suicide.
Do you know what Sippenhaft is? Also known as "collective guilt" or the formal legal term is "corruption of the blood"? Liberal democracies prohibit all that -- as a matter of law. But as a matter of fact, a de facto political reality, there absolutely exists collective guilt of various kinds.
Law is the monopoly of legal violence. Thug me gets away with all that extra legal violence because i know what the rules are and know what lines I can't cross and when.
Trump didn't.
He committed political suicide: his whole family is de facto ineligible for public office. They won't be expropriated, jailed, or executed. Which is what happens in the sorts of governments that people who decide to ignore elections build.
You see, I was far more interested in violence and victory than making money, though really what i am into is justice. Sometimes justice is extra-legal! Not sorry. Nate loves me and so does the Crown. I’m a NATO kinda thug.
Mark my words. Trump will lose, and his children will find themselves shut out of political office. I think his grandchildren might be electable, maybe. Maybe not!
Corruption of the blood: a political remedy for a legal wrong. This is one of the difference between law and politics, between legal remedies (court orders) and political remedies (legislation, fines, subventions, imprisonment, corporal punishment, and execution). Those last two are legally conditioned because we don't live in a fucking dictatorship.

btw because the USA is a federation one can be tried in a different state or by the federation for the same crime. (separate soveriegns theory) The only issue is whether the foreign state has jurisdiction. Just because the people of the great state of X are uninjured by Donny's shitfuckery doesn't mean the federation isn't injured by that conduct, or a foreign state such as the great state of Y. Don totally not a mafiosi Trump is fucked. So is his family, de jure and de facto.
GREETINGS, FROM MIKE MIKE!
I say! Is that a B-17 Bomber! Why, yes, it is! Greetings from my Family! Who wants Detroit and Windsor steel on target?
Other Words: Cynical Dogs
Kynnikos, the dog man, I swear I don’t remember that incarnation, lived in a trash Can. Though, when it came time to defend the city, despite age, he ran around the walls beating that Drum.
The word "kynnikos" (Greek: κυνικός) derives from the Greek word "kynos" (κύων), meaning "dog." In ancient Greece, the Cynics were a philosophical school founded by Antisthenes, a disciple of Socrates. They were called "Cynics" because they embraced a lifestyle that emphasized living simply and in accordance with nature, akin to the way dogs lived, without being concerned with societal conventions or material possessions. So, "kynnikos" came to connote qualities associated with this philosophy, such as simplicity, austerity, and a disregard for conventional norms.
ANOTHER COGNITIVE BIAS TO BEWARE OF! CONFIRMATION BIAS
Sun Tzu teaches that wars are won by whoever outcalculates their foe. What this means is: if your opponent fucks up -- you win! This also means if You fuck up, you lose!! Avoiding errors is a key aspect of winning wars. Really nasty bastards, me for instance, are only too willing to encourage their enemy to make mistakes -- especially once the shooting starts. Liberal democracies don't do that, at least not in peacetime. This is one of the actually beneficial features of liberalism. In contrast, dictatorships, even in peacetimes, are in fact willing to help you step on your own dick, even if you don't have one. "Are you sure that was really a banana?" Dictatorships induce errors by confusing you, distorting your vision, it's really the only way they can win because dictatorship is repulsive as a governance structure. Dictatorships lack feedback and thuse are bad at course corrections. Dictatrships generally last as long as the dictators does: there is no institution, and thus no institutional learning, no long term memory, just immediate total (over) reaction (under reaction too!). Dictatorship as governance only works as governance in war, and even then underperforms. Basically no one wants to be told what to do, no one likes being ordered around, and so dicatorship easily winds up with resentful populations and foreign neighbors too. This is likely why China has unresolved border disputes with literally all China's neighbors. Then again, just like abused children may be abused into becoming bullies, so also are those who get ordered around, like it or not -- say, by colonizers and imperialists -- likely to try to put the shoe on the other thug's foot.
Avoiding errors to win wars means recognizing and taking into account cognitive biases as a limit on human rationality. One cognitive bias is called “confirmation bias”.
Confirmation bias, a pervasive cognitive phenomenon, skews our perception of information, reinforcing preconceived notions while dismissing contradictory evidence. This mental shortcut can lead to a distorted reality, making objective decision-making a challenge.
Imagine scrolling through your social media feed, where posts aligning with your beliefs receive likes and shares, creating a cozy echo chamber. You might not even notice opposing views buried beneath the avalanche of affirmation.
Confirmation bias is all too easy to fall into, whether from the news we read and view or the people we choose to surround ourselves with. For instance, a jury deliberating a high-profile case brings their own biases, filtering evidence through their personal beliefs, leading to diverse conclusions based on the same facts.
Even scientists, known for their objectivity, are not immune to confirmation bias. A famous study found that researchers were more likely to accept flawed research that supported their hypotheses, illustrating how confirmation bias can warp the pursuit of truth.
If confirmation bias can easily lead to error why is it so prevalent? Evolutionary psychologists suggest it may have served a protective function for our ancestors, helping them quickly assess threats and opportunities. However, in today's world, this cognitive shortcut can lead us astray.
To combat confirmation bias, awareness is key. By acknowledging our tendency to seek out information that confirms our existing beliefs, we can actively seek out different perspectives to challenge, verify, and correct our assumptions. Engaging in critical thinking exercises, such as seeking out counterarguments or playing devil's advocate, can help us overcome cognitive blind spots.
Here’s the audio of that.
Why Putin Rejected the West
Audio
Dear Liberals,
Remember when the USSR was dead like an evil dragon and people wondered what to do with NATO? And then some well meaning started touting the idea of "out of area operations" and “humanitarian intervention” (droit d’ingerence) without adequately considering consequences and implications. And then you got NATO into fighting wars, mostly in Africa but also in Serbia? This, much more than NATO expansion, is what got Putin so irate: it was the bloody claws of murrican exceptionalism and unilateralism. See, when you have a set of rules, but it doesn't apply equally to everyone, the ones unequally treated get ... irate. This is one of the reasons I hate the foolish short-sighted opportunists at over at "lawfare" who instrumentalize law, rejecting the idea of law as an objective rule impartially applied, that then attracts voluntary compliance, replication, and self-enforcement. See, when you decide to "operationalize" law, like communist regimes and other dictatorships do, liberalism loses one of its few, and best, attractive points. But what do I know I am just a stupid thug wit’ a Club, right?
China is closely watching what the USA and EU do in Ukraine. Unlike Russia, China doesn't suffer from mass alcoholism or near genocide. Ever hear of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization? Q.v Shanghaied.
Most misplace Putin's antipathy for liberalism. In fact, liberal tendencies can be found informer Mongol satrap Muscovy. The Principality of Novgorod was in fact an early historic Russian democratic reality. Unlike me, Russian culture is not totally alienated from liberalism, just look at their recent scandalous semi naked party of young Muscovite scum drinking Ukrainian blood cleverly disguised as vodka to see gaunt and glistening freedumb in all its gory! Ah, liberalism! Try not to vomit up all that 80 proof Putina.
Just as liberals misread Russia and NATO it is very likely you are misreading China: remember all the "prophetic" claims, most famously by Niall Ferguson, that China was "the arsenal of autocracy"? Except it wasn't true at all, and I said so at the time. China did not arm Russia. You're welcome.
However, just as Russia was disgruntled by U.S. unilateral wars with no UN Security Council approval -- China is too. Just as you misread Russia, you are to a greater extent misreading China.
This does not mean you are doomed to war or even a new cold war. But it does mean you must do a lot of hard thinking, which you may be too undisciplined, lazy, or indifferent to, since it probably will not make you richer. After all, everything is relative, there is no objective truth, just a lot of subjective opinions, no facts at all and these epistemological errors explain why liberalism will very likely fail to accurately predict and appropriately react to China. Life’s just a great big cash grab with no concern for things like honesty or integrity, such is contemporary liberalism. Thus I am not yet another clueless fucking liberal.
See why I hate liberalism? It makes people lazy and weak, empowers greed, opportunism, and dishonesty, and ultimately liberalism is unhealthy, even deadly, for most people. See e.g. drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, smokers, obesity (so much heart attack and diabetes in murrica’s future)
Because it’s fairly fucked up, some of us out-thought liberalism, watched with regret, or horror, but unsurprised as the USA plunged itself into 20+ years of failed forever wars, and now you face a peer competitor. At least, whether you know it or not, you are in a stable strategic equilibrium with. So I suggest: "don't rock the boat". How you relate with China will greatly influence the dissolution of the "Russian" Federation and the post-war world, which will feature a new Marshall Plan with European and Chinese participation and, here’s the carrot for your greedy pie-hole: a grand pacific century of peace and prosperity.
IF we all "play our cards" right, this will prove to be the world's last imperialist colonial war and will usher in a grand pacific century of peace and prosperity for the entire planet.
Just like you could not foresee what happened in the 1990s, you probably cannot see what will happen in the 2030s, let alone beyond.
But I can.

Kingdom of the Dark Sun (A Black Hole)
I never write about Irgun or Stern or Israeli issues generally. Regarding the hypothetical 9th and/or 10th planet:

Well, I’m fascinated.
Enjoy these more than any articles in magazines or journals. I voted for Trump both times; first time only because I didn't want Hillary to win in a landslide I knew she was going to win and it turned out Wisconsin was a major swing state so my vote actually mattered. Second time because of all the lies about following the science and attempts to blame Trump for COVID. His instincts on COVID were good and I wish he could have followed them. Why did he fight the election loss? I still do not have any idea.
