I neglected to point out: the reason humans are so much smarter than all other primates is because we went "all in" on brains, ... at the expense of muscles. We are OP for brains and long distance running, but apes are about 3 times as strong pound for pound. This means that cute chimp could literally rip your arms off with its bare paws (hands?)
So before you consider playing closely with ape do think carefully. I would be ok around a spider monkey but me and chimp are gonna have bars to protect one of us. The one smart enough to build a metal cage.
