Mr. Putin appears to be at deathโ€™s door. Look at him. Mr. Putin could have used his โ€˜talentsโ€™ to make the world a better place. Just, look at him.

Although it is true Putin has tremors now (likely thanks to a failed assassination attempt using nerve agent such as novichok), people have long wished him dead and made predictions of his ill-health having that final fatal consquence. Unfortunately, we cannot plan on that fortuitious event. He's only in his early seventies, has survived several assassination attempts and has repeatedly blood purged his inner circle. Thank you for your comment, I would prefer to be mistaken and you to be correct, but in war we cannot fight based on what we wish, but instead based on what the enemy might.

But we cannot let up our support for Ukraine. Now Putin and Trump are trying their old trick of undermining the duly elected President of Ukraine who has rallied the worldโ€™s support. Donโ€™t let them bring him down and put in another Putin puppet.

Thank you for your comment, that's kind of you to write. You are right, we must stand fast and keep supporting Ukraine in its defense against unprovoked murder. However, our capacity to influence Trump is limited. Fortunately, Ukraine has many other allies, many of which have provided weapons and other supplies like ammunition, medicine. This is one of the reasons why I predict Trump will fail to force peace. Moreover, to make peace you must have at least one side willing to "negotiate" in other words surrender. That's not the case here: Putin will not stop so long as there are people left to kill. Ukraine will not stop because it has no choice but to fight. Russia could stop the war today, just by going home. Ukraine can only stop the war by killing as many Russians as it can as often as it can. Since Putin will not stop (he never keeps his word) and Ukraine cannot stop the war will continue. Hopefully well meaning but uninformed people will figure all that out sooner rather than later: in any case, Putin will eventually stab Trump in the back -- and then what?
